My journey into natural medicine in holistic health began when I was a little girl, as I helped my Italian grandfather tend his medicine garden. While working with the herb, fruit, and vegetable plants he would tell me, "Food is medicine.”
He would put the plants in my hands and tell me to feel what they were saying to me, so I could “listen” for instructions on how they would heal the body. Those first teaching experiences have been the cornerstone in my healing work over the past forty years.
That truth fully played out after my first child arrived with digestive issues and I was inspired to begin a formal study of the benefits of “food as medicine” in an effort to restore her health. Using whole foods, herbs, flower essences and homeopathic remedies, the outcome was a much healthier little girl - and the realization of a professional career in holistic, herbal and homeopathic medicine for her Mother.
I have worn many hats since I started my fIrst practice in the early 1980’s, and further reading on the Curriculum Vitae page will fill in the blanks. But most precious of all, has been to mother three talented grown children and to become a grandmother to seven delightful grandchildren.
